ASPU  lecture on Erasmus International Academic Scholarship Program

At the invitation of ASPU, Deputy National Director of the Erasmus Plus Program in Syria Ahmad Firas Hamadeh, gave a lecture about the program and its various activities, with the aim  to form Erasmus units in ASPU different faculties.

During the lecture, which was attended by ASPU President Dr.Yasser Hourieh and faculty  members, Hamadeh talked about programs for Masters and Ph.D students, how to exchange students between Syrian and European universities, programs put for universities and how to build their capabilities in terms of improving  laboratories and scientific curricula.

Hamadeh also talked about  steps followed by students and professors through their universities to apply for Erasmus projects, noting that these opportunities are available for academics in Syrian universities in cooperation projects with the European Union, stressing that the program offers a range of opportunities for students of higher education through scholarships for distinct programs offered by European higher education institutions and other EU-funded European scholarships which cover travel, study, living allowance and insurance.

Worthy mentioning that  Erasmus Plus program aims to develop higher education systems in partner countries, including Syria, and offers a range of opportunities for students of higher education, masters and doctoral degrees, and  for those working in higher education and institutions around the world.
