The Directorate of Financial Affairs is the body responsible for all financial work at the university.

It is responsible for receiving and collecting university funds and paying the financial obligations incurred therefrom, in accordance with the university's regulations, instructions and decisions issued in this regard.

The Directorate of Financial Affairs consists of the following departments:

  • Accounts department.
  •  Exchange department.
  •  Materials department.
  • Insurance department.

The Directorate undertakes the following tasks:

  • Preparing studies related to financial affairs and submitting proposals to the university president.
  •  Preparing estimated budgets and supervising their implementation after being approved by the Board of Trustees.
  • Follow-up procedures for collecting revenues and ensuring the timely payment of obligations incurred by the university, in accordance with the university's regulations and decisions issued in this regard.
  •  Preparing, studying and analyzing financial statements and submitting them to the university presidency, along with his suggestions.
  • Organizing revision and audit work related to financial and accounting affairs.
  • Automating accounting work in cooperation with a specialized and accredited authority in this field.
  • Strive to develop financial and accounting work systems.
  • Monthly follow up matching  of bank accounts, funds, advance payments, student accounts, salaries and suppliers.
  • Auditing the tax data related to the net profits tax resulting from industrial, commercial and non-commercial professions and crafts practices , in preparation for supplying them to the concerned authorities.
  • Dealing with all matters related to student accounts such as registration, fees, receivables, fines, transportation, housing ... etc. in the approved accounting system.
  • Checking work schedules and calculating salaries and wages for all employees.
  • Calculating overtime wages, bonuses, travel assignments and all kinds of compensation.
  • Prepare the employee salary transfer table for the bank with the account number of each employee.
  • Supervising the follow-up of the affairs of the faculty and administrative staff in the social insurance.
  • Checking work schedules and calculating salaries and wages for all employees.
  • Calculating overtime wages, bonuses, travel assignments and all kinds of compensation.
  • Prepare the employee salary transfer table for the bank with the account number of each employee.
  • Supervising the follow-up of the affairs of the faculty and administrative staff in the social insurance.
  • Matching  the social insurance claim with the monthly social insurance report.
  • Checking the names of employees sent by human resources for health insurance.
  • Preparing tax data for salaries and wages tax in preparation for sending it to the concerned authorities.
  • Carrying out the actual inventory of the materials, fixed assets, equipment and books purchased for the purpose of selling with the book inventory and handling the differences.
  • Checking the purchased materials according to the applicable accounting program and in line with the material tree.
  • Note the risks that fixed assets may be exposed to and set insurance conditions for them.
  • Field verification of existing safety and security equipment and periodic reporting of their quality.
  • Noting the needs of all university departments and colleges, based on the prices  sent by the colleges, university departments and directorates after the approval of the disbursement commander, and explaining the needs and requirements for each sent value .
  • Building credits based on the chart of accounts, estimated values according to the current market price, or based on the last purchase invoice for the material and the same specifications.
