Fourth year students of ASPU  Faculty of Law focused on  important themes in international and criminal law for their graduation projects which they discussed before the Judging Committee in the presence of Dr. Yasser Hourieh, President of the University.

In international law, the students discussed  issues on  protection of civilians in the  international humanitarian law and Syrian Arab sovereignty over the occupied Golan in the face of challenges and the immunity of heads of state in contemporary international law.

The  students also discussed the World Trade Organization (the pros and cons) and the dangers of US recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The themes that the students chose to discuss in the criminal law were no less important than what their colleagues in international law have discussed. They talked about the witnessed felony , in terms of its definition, cases, characteristics, real and deductive cases, habeas corpus, and research and attempted crime in the  Syrian law.

The judging committee praised the projects presented by the students in terms of selecting the themes , clear methodology, documentation, following the correct scientific and legal rules, adhering to the formal and objective conditions, the research plan, evaluations and the quality of the content to reach logical results and suggestions.
