ASPU - Lattakia First Graduation Ceremony

"Lattakia Faculties" of Al-Sham Private University (ASPU)  held a graduation ceremony for the first batch of its  29 students from the faculties of law and  administrative sciences at Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia

The  opening ceremony  was marked by a speech by the first graduate student, Haya Bassil, from the Faculty of Law, who expressed thanks for the full support she and her colleagues have received to be   ASPU  outstanding graduates

Dr. Mohsen Bilal, head of the  central higher  education office and ASPU  Vice President of the Board of Trustees, said that Syrian students are victorious, the same  as the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army in defense of the homeland

He pointed out that the nations are advancing by  science and knowledge that Syria has been seeking . he congratulated  the graduate students and their families, and ASPU teaching and administrative  staff for their  efforts, which constitute the highest and strongest way to strengthen the steadfastness and building of the nation

Deputy  Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Boutros Miyala, said that graduation is the starting point for moving to a new life, engaging in the labor market and building a new Syria

ASPU President Dr. Yasser Houria highlighted the importance of the first graduation ceremony  to that Lattakia’s ASPU  started in two colleges with 39 students in 2014 and today it includes 4 faculties with 1400 students, and that the next academic year will incubate new  faculties after the expansion of the  Lattakia ASPU premises

Head  of ASPU  branch of the National Union of Syrian Students NUSS   stressed  that this success reflects the achievements of the party in giving, creativity and excellence, noting  several scientific and educational activities, national and volunteer campaigns and scientific and cultural activities carried out  by the students

Secretary of Lattakia Baath Party  Lattakia Dr. Mohamed Shreiteh, stressed that Syria’s  victory has been achieved by the will of its people, the strength of its army and the wisdom of its leadership. He pointed out that this ceremony is a victory for the Syrian Syria, who reflect a clear image of their knowledge and culture

During the ceremony, a short film "Promotion" was presented about Lattakia ASPU , and Lattakia Ugarit artistic band  presented an artistic performance commemorating  the country’s achievements and glories

At the end of the ceremony certificates were  distributed on graduate students

The graduation ceremony was attended by the governor of Lattakia, Mr. Ibrahim Khoder al Salem, the governorate  police chief, Major General Nabil Al-Ghajari, the Secretary of Tishreen University party  branch, Dr. Louay Sayouh Chairman of the Lattakia Governorate Council and Darine Sulaiman, member of NUSS Executive Office , university teaching staff members and families of the graduated students
