Al-Sham Private University held a plenary  meeting attended by  president and members of the university branch  of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) and heads  and members of its administrative bodies in the faculties , and  Lattakia’s ASPU  faculties in the framework of enhancing contacts between ASPU and NUSS. 

Head of Union Branch at ASPU Nour Sirawan, welcomed  ASPU President Dr. Yasser  Hourieh, stressing that NUSS’s  duty is  to assist students in all fields and committees that serve and support their work. Sirawan noted the importance of the meeting to discuss educational issues and address the problems and difficulties hindering  the learning process.

Dr. Hourieh, welcomed the guests, and congratulated university‘s NUSS winning  members for  the confidence entrusted to them by students in the last elections, stressing the importance of their role in improving the student situation and in completing ASPU  organizational plan. He gave a brief explanation of the political reality in Syria manifested in  the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, the restoration of safety to our country and contributions to the reconstruction process, noting that Syria will be totally free from terrorism in the coming days.

ASPU President  also spoke about the successes it has achieved , providing  it a distinguished name among the universities, and the role played by NUSS members at ASPU  as a guide  for their fellow students, in working  to achieve the interests of students away from personal interests.

He also stressed that the administrative office of the NUSS, ASPU branch  should organize trade union training courses, and  social and sports activities, expressing ASPU readiness to support such activities.
