ASPU Students Provide a Distinctive Model of Interactive Learning

Students of the Faculty of Human Medicine at Al-Sham Private University (ASPU) yesterday presented their scientific projects highlighting  medical systems, in the presence of Dr. Yasser Hourieh, President of the University , Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, Dr. Hossam el-Din Shibli, at the Faculty of Human Medicine in al-Mazraa area in Damascus.

In her presentation, student Dania al-Olabi spoke  about blood diseases, changes in the body, symptoms and signs of anemia, diagnosis methods, and benign and malignant leukocyte disorders.

Student Judy Qabbani  spoke in her presentation about  schizophrenia, the definitions of the disease , its stages and symptoms and a real story through which she  explained the disease, diagnosis, causes and treatment and made a comparison  between the disease and other similar diseases.

ASPU President Dr. Yasser Houriya praised the projects presented by the students and considered them as a step to develop medical education in ASPU  and move to interactive education. He said that the presented projects  reveal the  important capabilities of distinguished doctors, stressing the need to disseminate  the spirit of competition among students in order to provide the best.

Dr. Houriya listened to the students' suggestions and requests, stressing ASPU 's endeavor to provide the best academically and scientifically, ensure  students comfort and achieve excellence in university services.

Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, Hossam el-Din Shibli, commended  the outstanding  projects presented by the students and the rich information contained in their presentations, a matter which reflects their ability to master scientific research, and investigation to ensure the authenticity of information, pointing out that students should continue due efforts  to be important doctors to be the focus of our pride  in future.
