ASPU Announcement (to fill vacancies) for non-medical faculties

 For the academic year 2022/2023

 

1. Applications are submitted to fill vacancies on Saturday and Sunday only, which fall on 5 and 6- 11/ 2022.

2. Students are received as from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon in the following headquarters:

• Damascus: Central Administration: Damascus Baramkeh - Musab bin Omair Street - next to Tishreen Stadium.

• Lattakia: Headquarters of Lattakia faculties: Saliba Project - next to the Revolution Youth Union (RYU) building.

1. Results will be released on Monday morning, 7/11/2022

2. Confirmation of registration for accepted students as a of filling vacancies  will be on Monday and Tuesday only on 7,8/ 11/ 2022.

3. The student loses his right to register if the registration procedures are not completed at the end of the official working day on Tuesday, 8/11/2022.

 

General provisions

1. The student must read the advertisement well before applying in order to know requirements and conditions for admission.

2. The student chooses one of the two high school certificate courses (first or second semester) for 2022 academic year and previous academic years.

3. The student has the right to apply for one subject only.

4. The student applies for only one high school diploma certificate. In the event that the student applies for more than one high school, his preference is considered to be cancelled.

5. The acceptance is made on the basis of the total Syrian secondary school certificate marks after folding the degree of religious education and one of the least marks foreign languages.

6. The student applies in person, or through his legal representative under a public or private authorization. In the absence of the student, (father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, husband, wife) can apply on behalf of the student according to a written authorization from the student concerned.

7. A student who has a non-Syrian secondary school certificate, in case he does not meet the previous item, can authorize any person residing in the Syrian Arab Republic and holding the Syrian Arab nationality to apply in his place under a written authorization that includes the personal data of both parties to the authorization (the student name, father name, nickname, national number, Phone/mobile number, the address of both parties to the authorization in Syria).

8. Required documents for applying:

   First: the Syrian secondary school certificate

• Uncertified copy of the secondary certificate /2/ copies

• A copy of the personal identity /2/ copies

• Subspan style='display: none'; ion fee 10,000 SP/+265 SP stamps fees

Second: A non-Syrian secondary school certificate

• An uncertified copy of the secondary school certificate, in addition to copies of the span style='display: none'; s of the tenth and eleventh grades/2/.

• A copy of the personal ID or passport /2/ copies.

• A subspan style='display: none'; ion fee of 10,000 SYP/ +265 SYP stamp fees.

Procedures for applying for university admission mentioned in this announcement

1. The student shall apply in person or by his legal representative (under a public or private authorization) and in the absence of the student, (father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, husband, wife) may apply on behalf of the student under a written authorization from the student.

2. A student who holds a non-Syrian secondary school certificate, in case he does not meet the previous item, can authorize any person residing in the Syrian Arab Republic and possessing Syrian Arab nationality to apply in his place under a written authorization that includes the personal data of the delegate (the student name, father name and nickname, national number, phone number /mobile address of the authorized person in Syria).

3. The student is permitted to apply only one desire in the card.

4. The student chooses the type of he wants to apply for according to the documents compatible with the declaration (resident Syrians, non-residents, Arabs and foreigners).

5. The student who has been accepted is conditionally accepted until he completes the registration procedures (submission of the affiliation application, delivery of registration documents and payment of approved fees) within a week from the date of issuing the results, and is considered objectionable after the specified period has elapsed.

 

Documents required to complete the registration procedure

The application for registration shall be accompanied by the following documents after payment of the required fees, and shall be delivered to the Admission and Registration Department at the university or faculty.

Non-Syrian secondary  school certificate

• The original secondary certificate

  • Certified copies of the secondary certificate duly attested, (5) copies
  • A copy of the Syrian student's identity card.
  • A copy of the passport for the non-Syrian student.
  • Five (5) colored personal photos (3 x 4 cm)
  • A copy of the Syrian student's ID card
  • Five (5) colored personal photos (3 x 4 cm).

• The original secondary certificate duly attested

• Certified copies of the secondary certificate, including grades of the study subjects, duly attested, (5) copies.

• A study sequence for grades (the ninth, tenth, and eleventh) duly attested, including the grades of the study subjects, duly attested, (5) copies.

• Preparatory school certificate duly certified, (5) certified copies.

• A copy of the passport for the non-Syrian student

• A letter of the equivalency of the secondary school certificate from the Ministry of Education of the granting country, duly certified (for the American-British curricula) (5) certified copies.

• A high school certificate or diploma certified and translated in originals and (5) certified copies
