President of ASPU Dr. Yasser Hourieh, has met new students at the University in the presence of Dr. Rania Zareer, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Majd Hamad, Head of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) at the University.
Dr. Hourieh gave a comprehensive presentation about the university and explained the advantages of the credit hours system, the administrative and financial system, the laws, academic regulations, real estate and buildings owned by the university in Damascus and Lattakia.
Dr. Hourieh also explained to the students the criteria adopted at the university to evaluate their performance and agreements with institutions and ministries to attain better training for students during the years of study and linking the theoretical side to the practical.
He introduced the students to the services provided by the university , including health and computer services, automation, insurance, sports and cultural and volunteer activities, for achieving the principle of social responsibility.
Dr. Hourieh stressed academic recognition of ASPU in Syria and abroad, pointing out that the certificate granted by ASPU is not falsified.
For her part, Dr. Rania Zareer welcomed the new students, stressing readiness to receive students and listen to their problems and respond to them in a way that ensures their interest .
In turn, Majd Hamad thanked the university for its great cooperation with the NUSS , noting that the NUSS welcomes the participation of students in the activities and events held in ASPU and the need to identify ASPU penal regulations and discipline committee.
Then, a reception was held for new students in the faculties of law, administrative sciences, international relations, diplomacy and information engineering.
The ceremony, which was attended by Dr. Houriya, the deans of faculties, and the teaching and administrative staff at the university, included singing, entertainment and various related activities.
ASPU welcomes its new students and wishes them a successful and happy academic year
