In a huge ceremony held at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts, ASPU celebrated the graduation of the third batch of its students.
The ceremony held for this purpose was attended by member of the Baath Party central Command Dr. Mohsen Bilal, minister of higher education, several party and the State officials and ASPU members of the Board of Trustees and deans of colleges.
Dr. Bilal extended greetings to ASPU and the parents of the students for their effort that contributed to the success of their children, stressing the importance of learning in building the homelands.
Minister of Higher Education, expressed happiness to share students of ASPS their joys on this occasion, and thanked ASPU secretaries and all teaching and administrative staff and the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) for their efforts in the service of students.
ASPU President Dr. Yasser Hourieh, said that number of students enrolled has increased to five thousand students in various specializations , and that ASPU has obtained the ISO certificate in administrative performance as an added value, noting that Dean of Quality was appointed for this academic year and ASPU medical faculties were transferred to permanent premises in al-Tal area.
Head of the NUSS in ASPU, Majd Hamad, said that NUSS was and will remain an advocate for students' issues and in providing the inspiring environment that is conducive to scientific achievement and a motivation for creativity for serving students, and overcoming impeding obstacles to serve the educational process.
He pointed out that students , equipped with awareness and knowledge will be the forefront to defend and rebuild the homeland.
In her speech, first outstanding graduate, Meda Abdul-Hay spoke about ASPU excellent academic atmosphere which availed her and her colleagues to excel and achieve great success, highlighting the university administration for attaining students excellence and professionalism.
The ceremony included an artistic show by the Julnar Troupe for the dancing theater, with various entertaining sketches presented by artist Mohammed Kheir al-Jarrah.
Then, outstanding students from different faculties and specializations were honored by their due deans at ASPU.
