In order to enhance its scientific and academic cooperation with Arab and international university federations, ASPU has officially joined the Mediterranean Universities Union.

Through maintaining  partnership with the Union of Mediterranean Universities, ASPU seeks  to develop scientific research and quality assurance in  higher university education and foster  cooperation in the fields of training and scientific and student exchange.

The Mediterranean Universities  Union was established in 1991. It includes 130 universities from 23 countries from both sides of the Mediterranean, working in various scientific fields and aiming to develop research and education in the Euro-Mediterranean region in order to contribute to  boosting scientific, cultural, social and economic cooperation.
