ASPU Hosts innovation & invention 2nd Session

Organized by Bright Inventors organization in cooperation with several Syrian governmental, scientific and academic agencies, ASPU hosted the opening ceremony of the 2nd session of innovation and invention (Bright Inventors 2 at ASPU) with the aim to create and support youth’s innovative ideas.

The opening ceremony was attended by minister of internal trade and consumer protection Talal Barazi, members of bright  Inventors Organization, faculties deans and members, and representatives of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS).

Minister Barazi described the Syrians as creative and distinguished by nature, noting Syrians contributions with important innovations and inventions in all fields.

He commended Syrian youth innovative ambitions despite the exceptional circumstances they are experiencing, urging them to continue to achieve new tasks in the world of innovation.

ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashkar, noted the importance of this event, being held at the university premises, as contributing to distinguished innovations and inventions in the service and development of the homeland.

He recalled gains of March 8th Revolution as a shining beacon for modern Syria, thanks to its achievements in enhancing the country’s glorious history.

Representative of Bright Inventors organization Ms. Houda Zakaria described the opening of the new session as not only about innovation and invention, but also for opening new horizons of experiences.

Zakaria showed a short film to introduce the organization's birth certificate, shedding light on the achievements of the organization from its birth to the present day. She told the story of the founder of the bright inventor’s organization, nicknamed "the long-haired man", Dr. Majed Al-Azzawi.

The session agenda included a lecture on the success of the first winner of the first scientific session competition and the vision advocated Syrian activists to develop the available space and promote inventors.

Also included were a presentation on the International Federation of Inventors' Societies in Geneva and a lecture on the role of science and education in entrepreneurial youth projects, the crossing of specializations and its importance in evaluating and directing innovative projects and communicating in the world of business and inventions in dentistry.

The lectures were concluded with titles on scientific research as a tool for developing inventions and obtaining supportive grants, the need for development and innovation in the medical field, successful experiences of Syrian inventors and latest research findings regarding the Corona vaccine.
