ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashqar, has presided over a meeting for the university council, at its headquarters in Al-Baramkeh.

He discussed with members of the University Council basic requirements and needs of each of the faculties at the university, and the need to update existed equipment and tools.

Members of the council evaluated the final exam for the previous semester and developed a plan for the optimal conduct of the summer semester.

The meeting agenda included measuring the development of the university's performance in the recent period.

Dr. Al-Ashkar expressed support for composing books and scientific research and the importance of participating in conferences and activities that would advance the university towards the better.

Head of ASPU branch of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) noted problems related to students in all faculties and solutions that should be taken to ensure the students' comfort.
