In the presence of ASPU President Dr. Sharif al-Ashkar, the University's faculties Council held a meeting at its headquarters in Latakia.

Participants in the meeting discussed issues on means to improve the educational process in Lattakia faculties and the need of communicating with students electronically and efforts to meet faculties’ needs of laboratory materials.  A committee was formed to supervise matters to health services at the university.

Also discussed were various issues pertinent to the development and advancement of the university
