ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashkar has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Dr. Ali Diab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elissar Foundation for the Care and Treatment of Cancer Children.

The signing ceremony was attended by dean of the faculty of administrative sciences, Dr. Rania Zarir, staff teaching member Dr. Ghina Najati, Khaled Najati, the Secretary of the University, and Khaled Dakouri, Director Public Relations and Media.

The agreement aims to improve health and social work, especially strengthening the role of civil institutions and associations in community service, for the benefit of the most vulnerable and marginalized groups (childhood - women - cancer children - with special needs) besides enhancing the role of universities in the society.

The agreement provides for ensuring necessary health services for children with cancer and their families, free of charge, and developing awareness activities about cancer.

The terms of the agreement state commitment of the two parties to harness available material, human and technical capabilities available to activate health, social and sports programs and activities, improve the level of services provided to cancer children and their families, and collect donations for the benefit of Elissar Foundation.

Elissar Foundation presented a shield in honor for Dr. Al-Ashkar, who President Dr. Najati a certificate of thanks and appreciation for her efforts during the suspension especially her lecture entitled “the art of teamwork”.
