Under the patronage of ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashkar, and the supervision of Dr. Rania Al-Zarir, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and ASPU Vice-President for Administrative and Student Affairs, e-marketing students of the faculty of administrative sciences, paid a field scientific visit to the headquarters DiGiShi Company for electronic marketing and commerce located in Daraa Highway, on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. The students were welcomed by Dr. Orwa Nader, owner of DiGiShi Company, who spoke during a tour of the company’s building about its departments, including the photography section, in which clear pictures of the products are taken and then the product specifications are written to be published later on the company’s website, social networking pages and DiGiShi application.
The students also visited the company's warehouse, where the products are received, delivered, sorted, packaged and prepared before they are made available for the customer.
The students were also briefed on how the customer service department works and ways to meet their needs and desires with high efficiency.
In an open dialogue, the students discussed with Dr. Orwa Nader the concept of electronic marketing and the mechanism of the company’s website and its application. Services provided by the site and the additions provided by the company to the concept of electronic marketing in the Syrian Arab Republic were also explained, and the challenges facing workers in the field of electronic marketing, in general, were presented.
Opportunities available for new electronic applications and the current and future reality of electronic commerce and electronic payment in the Syrian Arab Republic were also discussed.
The company made offers to train and employ ASPU students , who wish to gain practical experience within their field of study, during which they undergo a training at the company's headquarters to learn about the basic concepts that qualify them to join the labor market.
This visit shows ASPU vision and belief in the need of linking the practical side with the theoretical side, altogether, and the importance of field visits to raise the competencies of ASPU students.
