Under the patronage of ASPU President Dr. Sherif Al-Ashkar and  supervision of Dr. Rania Al-Zarir, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Dr. Marwa Al-Issa, Head of the Marketing Department and  Dr. Samer Hamwi, ASPU administrative sciences faculty  held a scientific visit for its  marketing department to the headquarters of DiGiShi e-marketing company on June 10, located in Daraa highway .

The students were welcomed by Orwa Nader, owner of DiGiShi Company, who accompanied them on a tour of the company’s building to get acquainted with its departments including the imaging section, where clear pictures of the products are taken, and product specifications to be published later on the company’s website, the company’s social media pages and the DiGiShi application are written.

The visit also covered company’s warehouse, where products are sorted, packed and prepared before they reach the customer.

The visit included an introductory lecture on the concept of e- marketing and work process at company’s website and its application. Services provided by the site and the additions provided by the company to the concept of electronic marketing in the Syrian Arab Republic were explained. Explanations were made on challenges facing workers in e- marketing in general in light of current conditions and how to deal with them.

The company proposed to train and employ ASPU students in order to gain practical experience in their field of study, to learn about the basic concepts that qualify them to join the labor market.

This visit has reflected ASPU vision on the need of linking the practical and the theoretical sides, and the importance of field visits to raise student’s competencies.
