Under the patronage of ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashkar, who is also the Chairman of the university Scientific Research Council, Dr. Khaled Al-Homsi, university Vice-President of the Scientific Research Council, has met with members of the council at the university’s headquarters in Baramkeh.

In an inaugural statement, Dr. Al-Homsi noted the rise in ASPU classification locally and internationally in recent years, and spoke about new criteria adopted to determine the ranking and classification of universities.

Participants in the meeting reviewed researches published in the name of the university after the last evaluation, and the criteria that must be taken into account when publishing any scientific research to be accepted by the university's scientific researcher.

The participants also discussed   recommendations and proposals that would raise the university’s classification among Syrian and international universities, which also urge the publication of more scientific research and the writing of more books on behalf of ASPU in all its faculties.

The meeting's agenda dealt with obstacles facing publication of scientific research and the solutions to be followed, and drawing a future research plan for the development and promotion of scientific researches.
