Under the patronage of ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashkar, and supervision of Dr. Ammar Tarkawi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, the university administration has organized a meeting for Faculty of Law students, with the lawyer Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Saadi, head Damascus Bar Association branch.

Mr. Al-Saadi gave  a detailed explanation on the importance and mechanism of affiliation for graduates of public and private universities to the Bar Association , noting  the importance  of students’ desires to receive  training in law firms, on  to how to develop legal thought and work mechanism in the Bar Association, and also touched upon Lawyer’s rights, means of protection and accountability, as well as  the need to master the Arabic language and the art of public speaking for lawyers in professional life.

For his part, Dr. Al-Terkawi stressed that the law is an independent profession that participates in the judiciary in achieving justice, and complements the role of the judiciary, enhancing human rights when it defends its right to life, and provides it with protection against all forms of violations.

Then, Mr. al-Saadi was presented with a shield of thanks and appreciation for his efforts in making this meeting a success.
