Headed by ASPU President Dr. Sharif al-Ashkar , the University Council held its 69^th  session at the university's  faculties of al Baramkeh premises.

Council members discussed discussed the set agenda, including activities carried out during the last period, the proposal to establish ASPU Alumni Association, proposals of faculties to create a special program for obtaining a master's degree (qualification and specialization) and to convene the third international scientific exhibition for the faculty of Dentistry to be held May 27-28, 2023, at Damascus Opera house.

After items listed on the meeting's agenda were adopted and the progress of the teaching process in the faculties was reviewed, the agenda and proposals submitted by the members of the council were approved.

Then, the university president stressed the need of the university teaching staff participation in training workshop held by the Federation of Arab Universities with Zoom technology, on Sunday 30/42023, entitled: How to write a scientific research, taking into account classified journals Q1-Q2, as a target
