ASPU President, Iran Cultural Counselor Meet on Boosting Relations

In the context of developing scientific and academic relations between Syrian and Iranian universities, the Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hamid Reza Asmati, has met with ASPUPresident Dr. Sharif al-Ashkar, at the university premises,   in the presence of Dr. Rania al-Zarir, Vice President of the University, and Dr. Safaa Kaddour, professor at the faculty international and diplomatic relations.

It was agreed between the two sides to develop a strategy for scientific and academic cooperation between ASPU and Iranian universities, by activating the agreements and memoranda of understanding that ASPU had concluded with Iranian universities since 2019, in addition to the agreement on concluding a memorandum of understanding with Al-Zahra University.

Also agreed upon was  developing a plan to hold virtual scientific seminars periodically between ASPU and Iranian universities in order to exchange information and viewpoints between scientific cadres, as well as  to find a mechanism for exchanging  between  the two sides students and university professors.

At the end of the meeting, the Iranian cultural official invited ASPU president to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran.
