The 2nd International Dental Conference held at Al-Assad National Library continued its deliberations for the second successive day under the auspices of Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and supervision of ASPU President Dr. Sharif al-Ashqar.

The first session started with a lecture by Dr. Wael Khalil entitled “The involvement of viruses and fungi in the pathogenesis of different dental infection”, followed by a lecture by Dr. Tarek Tinawi entitled “Digital workflow in implant dentistry from A to Z”, Dr. Mahmoud Rahban, representative of Ora Company in Syria made a lecture entitled "Ora implant system", and the session was co- chaired by Dr. Eyad Abu Asli and Dr. Hanan Latifa.

The second session was chaired by Dr. Muhannad al-Balkhi and Dr. Rami Ezzedine, during which Dr. Ricardo Kern presented a lecture entitled “pink and white balance in aesthetic rehabilitations”, and Dr. Talal al-Diri gave a lecture entitled “Clinical concepts in regenerative periodontal therapy in intrabony & function defects”.

In conclusion of the conference sessions, the last session was chaired by Dr. Talal Nahlawi and Dr. Shaza Qanoot, and the lecture was by Dr. Bashar Al-Hadithi entitled “Periodontal anatomy and its role on the treatment planning of esthetic areas”, and Dr. Rafid Al-Khanaq lecture was entitled “Pedo-orthodontic consultations for 6 to 9 years old individuals".

On the sidelines of the conference, cases of outstanding students from ASPU were presented. Activities of the conference included many modern scientific methods in the field of dentistry. The conference was an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and medical devices, which help the student learn new skills in modern medicine.
