Under the patronage of ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashkar, and the supervision of Dr. Hussam eddin Al-Shibli, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and in cooperation with the university branch of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS), deanship of the faculty of medicine has organized the first scientific day under the title (Emergency Medical Cases).

The scientific day included valuable lectures by several specialized doctors who lectured on most important basics of emergency medical cases.

The first lecture was entitled "Acute Chest Pain", presented by Dr. Hossam eddin Al-Shibli, then a lecture by Dr. Imad El-Din Tanouhi, entitled "Bleeding in the first months of pregnancy."

The lecture by Dr. Abdul Rahman Hammadieh was on “Acute Abdominal Pain”, and Prof. Dr. Anwar Al-Hasani gave a lecture entitled “Ambulance for the Burned Patient”, and Dr. Assem Nasser’s lecture was on “Urological First Aid”.

The scientific day was concluded with a lecture by Dr.  Ayman Al-Balkhi entitled “Acute upper respiratory obstruction in children”.

Faculty of medicine head of the administrative department, several university deans, their deputies, directors, and faculties of medicine and pharmacy teaching staff attended deliberations of the said day.
