Under the patronage of ASPU president Dr.  Sharif al-Ashkar, and in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) , a meeting was held  with a delegation representing  various Iranian universities. The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Reza Hajian, Iranian International Relations Advisor, university branch of the NUSS  Majd al-Hamad,  Dr. Rania al-Zarir, university vice president for administrative and student affairs, and university deans .

Mr.  al-Hamad, gave a detailed explanation  about  the NUSS role in  the university and the services it provides to the community and students, as well as carried out  events and activities.

Dr. al-Zarir gave a brief about the  university, its establishment, students , faculties , and an overview of the scholarships and discounts that the university offers to students and the  future plan to open new colleges.

One Iranian student  gave a detailed definition of the activities carried out by the Iranian universities, and answered all raised   questions and inquiries .

Then, the Iranian delegation toured the university buildings and colleges in al-Tal faculties, covering  classes,, laboratories, gymnasiums, and university hostel.
