ASPU President Dr. Sharif Al-Ashkar, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, Patricio Brickle, at the university's headquarters. The meeting was attended by Dr. Khaled Al-Homsi, Vice President of the University's Scientific Research Council.

Dr. al-Ashkar  expressed thanks for the Chilean leadership, and talks centered on  activating and developing scientific cooperation relations between ASPU and Chilean universities for the benefit of the two countries and all scientific capabilities available in all scientific and university centers between the two sides.

He expressed hope that this visit will be the first of continuous visits and cooperation in all areas, especially scientific field, for the benefit of the two countries.

ASPU President called on the Chilean Ambassador to hold a comprehensive political meeting on the development of relations between the two countries for the university professors and students of the Faculty of International Relations and Diplomacy.

At the end of the meeting, ASPU President expressed to the Chilean ambassador congratulations and blessings on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year, wishing that the coming year would be good and peaceful for both countries, wishing him continued health and happiness.
