Organic Chemistry Lab

This laboratory is dedicated to medical colleges (medicine, pharmacy) and is provided with all the following glass tools and various equipment:

Water-bath heaters, distillation apparatus and steam-drilling devices– Glass pipettes of different sizes – Burettes – Separation funnels – Stirring rods – Test tubes – Calibration balloons – Scales – Stalls – Watch bottles – Transparent and opaque solution containers – Two-degree sensitive balances Comma- Electric heaters with stirring- Wooden tweezers- Metal holders with tweezers- Sensitive scale four degrees after the comma- Air extractors- Storage in different shapes to save materials and solutions.

Basic experiments in organic chemistry, the purity of organic compounds, and detection of organic elements to convert them into metallic elements by melting them with sodium metal. Synthesis of organic compounds after some chemical reactions such as esterification, and clarification of some ideas in stereochemistry.

Provided  with the following equipment :

• water bath (used to incubate samples at a certain temperature)

• 10 electric heaters (used to heat samples)

• 2 pan scales (used for weighing chemicals)

• 2 sensitive scales (weighing materials with small weights)

• one flocculate (for sedimentation of samples)

• Desiccant (drying samples at a certain temperature)
