Syria and regional and international developments
In a seminar held by al Sham Private University ASPU, in collaboration with National Union of Syrian Students NUSS, Dr. Butheina Shabaan made a lecture under the title “Syria and regional and international developments". It was attended by ASPU President, several deans of the faculties, administrators, members of ASPU’s NUSS branch, and students.
The seminar was opened with a minute of silence in memory of the country’s martyrs, followed by the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Dr. Shaaban addressed three questions: what, why, and after that what? about the current situation in Syria.
She spoke about the reality in a transparent and sincere and concrete way, and drew attention to the need to adopt a culture of belonging and criticism and dealing with bad performance in order to ensure the country’s progress and restore back good living.
Dr. Shaaban answered the questions put by academics and students regarding issues of economic and social importance to the future of Syria, as well as matters relating to regional issues and Syria's international relations.
